Sincere thanks to the Portage Health Foundation for donating enough money for us to purchase FOUR brand spanking new sit ski packages! This is amazing! We are working with Michigan Tech recreation to store these sit skis at the MTU trailhead for use by community members on their OWN scheduels as well, which has been a long term goal of ELK. Very exciting. We now have enough sit skis for all the people interested in participating in the Noque ski marathon adaptive race at the end of January! Woo hoo! We will begin training after Christmas to get ready, and will be joined by paralympian hopeful biathlete Casey DeVooght as she prepares for the '26 Winter Paralympics in Milan.
